Is this a good helicopter for a beginner?
New 2 CH Airflow 9057 Radio RC Electric RC Helicopter RTF…if you google that and go to the 1st website it brings up…xheli.com then you can see it! It looks like a great deal but I know nothing about this kind of stuff and for all I know it could be a piece of crap. He wants one so bad but he is a beginner…they make it sound like this is perfect for him…is it or is there a better one for a reasonable price?
Go check out Eflight
i have a couple of their choppers and a plane.
They are fantastic.
Lots of fun
They are priced from a hundred bucks up to 500 bucks.
The Labrador helicopter is a good beginner one.
I don't know the Airflow models.

I wouldn't classify it as a "RC Helicopter" it's more of a toy in this sense.
To get anything realistic, you need to get a 4 CH helicopter. Be looking to spend around $70 for a starter.
If you get this, in no way will it help you for another helicopter.
2CH is throttle (up/down) and tail speed (spinning in circles on spot).
So you cant go forward/backwards or side to side… if you get what im saying. A 4CH will do every single direction imaginable.
This 2CH is like Air Hogs, fun, cheap but you will get very bored… and it isn't the best quality.
I would look at this, its very cheap, fun and I have a review on it on youtube… quite a few people like it.

Theres also the Blade MCX (what the other commenter was talking about) it does the same thing… just larger.

But for starting.. definitely go with the first link I gave you. Also that site is where I've bought 12 of my RC Heli's from. (Google Miracle-Mart if you want to see the reputation).
Good luck! Once you get it, or right now go ahead and look at my youtube channel, I have tutorials on how to fly them. http://youtube.com/live2fly94
Heres the helicopter that I recommend flight video.. to show you how it flies. http://www.youtube.com/user/Live2Fly94#p/u/16/5d9cGZ7W41g
