Question for RC helicopter pilots.?
Hey guys i'm trying to buy a decent MICRO RC heli palm size and i don't know what to go with. I had the BLADE MCX but i didn't like it and now i'm thinking of getting a LAMA 2 r they good?, or is there something better out there? I also need a heli that i can find parts easily to and LAMA 2 matches pretty well so idk?
It varies by location. The Lama is good if you are out of the United States. But usually in the United States, you should stick with something like the E-Flite product line. They have parts in nearly all hobby shops that sell RC parts. If not, they could probably order it. If you want something like the Mcx, then I would suggest the Blade CX2 or the CX3. If you want a step up, I would suggest the Blade CP Pro 2. You could get the Blade 400, some people do it, but its just a waste of money when you crash it.

head down to your favorite RC shop and see they carry parts from which heli, and buy that heli. That's the best way to ensure you can find the parts easily.
For palm size, avoid walkera. They then to be a pain and may requires a fair bit of DIY modification to get it flying properly.
If you don't mind a 6CH, go for Align Trex 250. It is slightly bigger, but flies like a charm. Again, it is very different from a dual rotor heli like lama and MCX. But it is still possible to bypass these dual rotor heli and go straight with a 6CH. Just bear in mind you will also need to learn the mechanics of getting the 6CH heli to work in order to have it fly well. They is not "bind and fly". It is part and parcel of this hobby.
